Laura’s Baptism

On Easter day, we had the privilege of celebrating Laura's baptism at our Family Church at Four service. Easter has a long tradition of being the day of baptisms in the church, and it was so special to baptise Laura on Easter Sunday. Members of Family Church were joined by Laura's family and friends as we marked the amazing work that Jesus is doing in Laura's life. Laura's desire to follow Jesus and her testimony of the difference that being a Christian is making was really encouraging for everyone who was there at the service. Even if you weren't at the service, you will no doubt have seen the big baptism pool in the entrance to the Parish Centre that we borrowed from St George's Eston. This meant we were able to baptise Laura by full immersion, which powerfully demonstrates the symbolism of death and new life in baptism. Please pray for Laura as she grows in her new found faith in Jesus and shares it with her family and friends.
